You can always consult with your veterinarian or crematory to discuss the amount of cremains or, order a size larger than your pet's weight. Cremation procedures vary and can produce different volumes of cremains.

Because a ceramic pet urn from Red Fern Urns is customized for your individual pet, please allow 7 to 10 business days prior to shipping. Urns are shipped Federal Express Home Delivery.
Red Fern Urns welcomes requests for custom urns. If you would like a different glaze than what is offered on the style urn you want, please contact us for instructions on how to proceed.
There is no additional charge for that service. However, custom urns cannot be returned and it is 14-21 days before shipment.
Red Fern Urns greatest inspiration is that an urn from Red Fern Urns helps in some small way to heal a broken heart after the loss of your pet. Therefore, if for some reason the urn your purchased does not meet your expectations we do offer a full refund, less shipping, no questions asked. Please contact us here to notify us within seven (7) days of your intent to return the urn. A check will be mailed upon receipt of the returned urn, less shipping.
We suggest you use a clear drying epoxy available at hardware stores. Follow package instructions placing 3-4 very small dots on the lip of the lid.
If the bag of ashes is small enough, consider placing the entire bag inside the pet cremation urn without ever opening it. Another transfer option is to cut a corner of the bottom of the bag to control the transfer. We suggest laying down newspaper so any stray ashes can be easily returned to the urn.
